Mid Central Medical is an American manufacturer of medical equipment. We focus on attention to detail in every area of our business. We are committed to exceed the expectations of medical professionals across the country and around the globe.
Stainless steel shelves are commonly used in clinics, labs, and hospitals due to their durability, corrosion resistance, and ease of cleaning. These shelves provide essential storage and organization solutions in healthcare environments, labs, industrial offices, as well as homes and outdoor sites.
Stainless steel is the material of choice for these shelves due to its resistance to corrosion, staining, and rust. It is also highly durable and can withstand harsh cleaning agents. Grade 304 (AISI 304) is one of the most popular and versatile grades of stainless steel. It is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, ease of fabrication, and is commonly used in medical equipment, labs, kitchen appliances, sinks, and food processing equipment. The high resistance to moisture and heat makes it ideal for outside use where it will stand up to the elements.
All of our shelves are made from one-piece construction for a smooth top surface. All joints are welded for the strongest, longest-lasting bond possible and are designed to be smooth glove-friendly for easy cleaning, ensuring there's nothing to catch or tear a glove, wipe, or cleaning cloth.
Shelves longer than 48 inches come with a floating support bracket that can be mounted to the supporting stud or other support in the area of your choice.
All of our shelves have predrilled holes for mounting. Because there are many different wall and supporting structure materials, the mounting hardware such as screws and bolts are supplied by you to fit your unique situation.
Small orders and shorter shelves are shipped by UPS Ground service. Large orders and long shelves are generally shipped by truck. We select the best way at the time of the order. Because every order is unique, if there are any additional shipping charges, you will be notified and have the option to cancel before the order is shipped.
The attractive and hygienic surface appearance of stainless steel products cannot be regarded as completely maintenance free. All grades and finishes of stainless steel may in fact stain, discolor or attain an adhering layer of grime in normal service. To achieve maximum corrosion resistance the surface of the stainless steel must be kept clean.
Stainless steel is easy to clean. Washing with soap or a mild detergent and warm water followed by a clean water rinse is usually quite adequate for most medical equipment. Use a soft brush or cloth to remove stubborn dirt or blood. Do not use abrasive clothes or pads that will alter the finish of the stainless steel. An enhanced appearance will be achieved if the cleaned surface is finally wiped dry. We do not recommend using a cart washer for stainless steel equipment unless it is specifically rated for using in a cart washer. This can damage wheel bearings, parts glued on may release due to heat and water may be retained on some pieces of equipment. This can void manufacturer’s warranty.
Most stainless steel equipment does not need to be sterilized as it is usually not in direct contact with surgical instruments. If stainless steel is required to be sterilized, please check with sterilization equipment manufacturers for settings as equipment cycles vary.
After stainless steel has been cleaned, you will want to disinfect before use. This is best done with disposable wipes not containing chlorine bleach. If bleach wipes are used, you will need to do a final rinse with clean water to remove the bleach residue as it will cause the stainless steel to have a cloudy finish or white residue over time. We recommend using Super Sani-Cloth® Germicidal Disposable Wipes to disinfect stainless steel medical equipment.
